Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
